The Golden Tree

Home Sweet Home
She gave a long sigh as love flushed through her heart as Astra looked down at her beautiful fairy daughter.
Her long eyelashes sparkled through her dazzling black eyes.
She thought to herself “What shall I call my gorgeous baby fairy.
I know, Mystique” she said with compassion.
She looked at Mystique with love and kissed her on the cheek.
Mystique grew up in an Enchanted Kingdom, a village in the most glamorous place in Fairytopia. You could imagine the trees glowing in the moon’s light.
Mystique and Astra lived in a small part under the trees.
The most charming land filled with magic, but none knew how to get the magic, only the most kindhearted, enchanted fairies could get the magic because they must be pure of heart.
Astra died when Mystique turned twelve years old. She had no one to look after her, but her evil Aunt Merissa.
Her Aunt had dark purple hair too that glowed like a poisonous beetle, a smile as fierce as a dragon guarding it’s treasure, wings as sharp as knives.
Mystique did not like staying with her Aunt. She made her pick up all the scraps after she finished eating, Mystique had nothing to eat but her Aunt’s scraps.
Mystique had to sleep in the cold corner of the house with a hard pillow and a thin worn blanket that was always neatly folded.
Her Aunt always gave Mystique a list of things to do, that was at least 5 metres long, she had to wash the dishes, get more glitter from flutterpuff swamp, pick up her Aunts scraps, mop the floor, and other things she had to clean the house so it was spotless.
The Golden Tree
Mystique grew taller and more beautiful than any other fairy in Fairytopia.
Her Aunt sent her out to pick fruit, something she loved to do. It gave her a chance to get out of the house. Flying aimlessly through the trees, she came to a tunnel. She flew into the tunnel curious to know what was at the end. Almost to the end she saw a golden glow.
A golden tree, that had very fat and juicy mangoes on it. Mystique was so hungry she picked a mango, she heard thumping feet coming, gathering more for her basket, she tried to hide from them.
Quickly she took a bite of the mango in her hand.
Her head started spinning round and round, she felt dizzy and wozzy then she fell through the thin air. BANG! As she landed with a big bang on the ground.
Four dwarves ran to the spot only to find a fairy crumpled up by their tree. They sat in a circle around her and all started talking at once.
“We have to do something to keep this area safe from the fairies who are curious to stick their noses in here and eat all the fruit that the wicked witch cursed, what shall we do with this one?” asked a very old dwarf named Victor.
“I seriously don't know, Victor. What do you think Know-it-all?” asked another.
“Um, I, ah. I think she's dead?” said Know-it-all.
“What!”yelled Victor
All four dwarves gathered around her then looked at her silently.
“There is only one place for her to lay until the curse has lifted.” said Sleepy
“Maleficent Tower!” they all yelled.
Maleficent Tower is a tower that is far away on the top of a valley in between the mountains.
The short dwarves bent down and picked her up and took her to the tower.
There was a secret door to the tower.
No one but the dwarves knew the password to open it. “Lamora” the dwarves yelled.
They laid her on the soft comfy bed, then left her to rest in peace.
Friendly stayed to look after her while his brothers set out to look for a prince.
The Kiss
The dwarves begged and begged Prince Stephen to believe them, after two hours of begging he finally gave up.
He flew out of Fairytopia with the dwarves alone without guards to guard him, when he finally saw the tower he swooped down and started walking with the dwarves.
“Is that where you put the fairy that you were talking to me about?” he asked.
“Yes she is up there in the tower.” said Victor.
They all walked together in silence as they approached the tower.
“You'd better cover your ears your majesty” said Know-it-all.
He covered his ears, “Lamora” the dwarves yelled.
Then the Prince saw the dwarves run up the spiralling stairs, he flew straight up and found a landing.
He walked into the room and found nothing but a curtain, he slowly walked toward the curtain and slowly pulled it across and saw the fairy lying on the bed with violets in her hands.
He asked for privacy, Friendly walked out and shut the curtain behind him.
Prince Stephen looked at Mystique with love, he loved her the very moment he lay his eyes on her.
He thought what a beautiful fairy.
He walked up to the side of her, leaned down.
And kissed her.
Then he slowly parted his lips with her’s.
Her body started to rise, her wings became bigger and bigger then her body lay down on the bed again.
Her eyes fluttered then opened.
She looked quite confused.
“Who are you?, and where am I?” Mystique asked.
“I am Prince Stephen, of Enchanted Kingdom,”replied Stephen
“and you are?” asked Stephen.
“My name is Mystique, your highness” she replied with a bow.
She got up and went into the room with the dwarves and said
“Thank you for bringing me here, but may I ask you why was that golden tree poisonous?”
Victor stood up and asked “Do you know a fairy called Merissa?”
“Yes that is my Aunt” she replied “why?”
They looked shocked.
“Merissa is a witch, one day she wanted to be so wicked she cast a curse which made that golden tree grow poisonous mangoes, she said ‘if a fairy eats these mangoes of mine she will die on the spot and only a true love kiss can break this spell’ when she said that we were so terrified we ran away from her but kept that tree away from everyone, we have to kill -”
“No! shes my Aunt, she’s the only person I have left in my family” Mystique said worriedly.
“I am sorry,” said Victor “ but we have no choice but to kill her.”
Mystique sobbed
“Ok then,” said Prince Stephen “lets go.” he said with pride.
Revenge
They all went outside, Mystique was leading them all to the house, the Prince stayed at the back in case someone was going to follow them, no one did.
They got to her Aunts house at sundown, Mystique sneaked inside and sat at the table.
“Can we go for a walk?” she asked.
They both walked outside.
They both walked outside.
“I’m going to pick some fruit,so you can catch up with your friends” said Mystique.
Prince flew with Mystique to the golden tree.
“Is this the place that you were poisoned” asked Prince.
“Yes”
Mystique walked towards the tree and picked a mango that looked as though it was not that golden.
They went back with a basket full of fruit and a mango that was not golden.
“What do you have in your basket?” asked Merissa as they walked through the front gate.
“Fruit, I picked a golden mango especially for you, Aunty.” she said as she was giving it to her Aunt “I picked it from a tree down by the river in the forest.”
Her Aunt raised the mango to her lips and took a nice big chunky bite.
She looked threatening, then started to fly towards Mystique at high speed then started to slow down, her eyes were turning from furious to an expression as though she was starting to sleep.
Mystique was sad that her family was gone.
Now she has a new family with the Prince which is now King Stephen and Queen Mystique.
And they lived happily ever after.
